Monday, March 23, 1959 - Sunday, March 29, 1959

March 23: Dad took Cindy, Patsy and Che-che to ensemble. Joe had very, very good patrol meeting. He is really a good leader. Likty brought treats. Dick, Buddy, Dennis Likty came.

March 24: Dad took me to Dr. Rosendale who said if I don't stay in bed for a week I'll have to go to the hospital. I almost have pneumonia. So the folks took Cathy home with them. Cindy went to Naomi's where she stayed until Mrs. Stewart brought her home about 8. Had grand time.

March 25: Cindy made her bed, her lunch, dished out breakfast which Jim had cooked before, and cleaned up the kitchen before school. I stayed in bed all day. All I feel like doing is laying flat in bed.

March 26: I stayed in bed all day today. Blanche Thompson was over for a little while. Joe played after school with Bolen, Cindy with Karen Tull and Sherry.

March 27: Cindy brought Naomi home with her then Jim took both to violin lesson, then Cindy stayed overnight with Naomi.

March 28: Jim got up at 5:30 to take Joe and Cathy to dentist in Tacoma. Cathy had 5 fillings, Joe 2 and teeth cleaned. $4 for Joe, $9 for Cathy. She was so good and so proud of herself and all her fillings. She says, "Here is the 5 year old who didn't give a whimp in the dentist's office." Joe spent the rest of the day getting members for Community Club for Boy Scouts. He got 12 and worked so hard. Mrs. Stewart brought Cindy home at 3:30, saying she was very good.

March 29: Easter Sunday! I am still in bed so the folks came in at 9 a.m. and all went to Sunday School. Joe had speech as Simon to say. He did very well. Cathy was outstanding both in the way she sang the song with the other little kids and in her piece. She is very loud and clear and everybody thinks she is cute. Later, the kids went to Illahee Park for egg hunt. Joe and Cathy found four eggs, Cindy none.
